The volunteer will be involved in the entire operation of the organization. She/ he well be given opportunities to work according to their best abilities and they will have the support of the staff while doing so. The volunteer will work in leisure time activities (workshops, courses, intercultural events), help children in the nursery school (helping the teacher, organise ativities for children of age 2 - 5) or work with adults. Volunteers work 7 hours per day (35 hours per week). The volunteer also organize language courses (in mother tongue or other language according to the interest of volunteer). Volunteers will also learn czech language. Occasionally volunteers organise or participate on activities or workshops during the weekend. Each volunteer will have a sufficient space to design and implement their own ideas. We also support volunteers in creating their own promotion materials for their workshops and activities.
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
The volunteer has his/ her own room in a three-floor shared house close to the centre of Zlín. It is fully furnished (wifi included). Bathroom, washing machine and equipped kitchen is shared with other inhabitans. The volunteer has to self-manage his/ her room responsibly and cooperate with other users of the accomodation to keep it in order. The accomodation is around 10 minutes by bus from the organisation. The volunteer receives food money (150 CZK/day) and pocket money (by the rules of the programme) every month and the monthly tickets for the public transportation. Bike is available.
TRAINING DURING THE PROJECT
During the project they will learn czech language and they will improve their language skills due to language lessons in mother tongue or other language they choose. During the work with children a volunteer adopts pedagogical methods, way of working with children. He/ She will improve their digital and technical skills. Volunteers will learn timemanagement, money, they will learn the Snoezelen method, Ebru, Encaustic, work with ADHD kids. During the stay there will be a coordinator and the mentor available for the volunteer. Every volunteer will get Youthpass.
We are looking for an active, motivated young person, who will be able to work in a team. A person who is interested in work with children, youth and adults and wants to impement new projects of his/her own. We would prefer a volunteer who can communicate in English, is responsible and creative. We are open to volunteers with limited opportunities but due to bad accessability to the first floor, we are not able to accept volunteers on a wheelchair. We also ask volunteers for their CV and motivation letter in English. Previous experiences with work with children are neccessary.
