Turbina Pomerania is an initiative for international and cross-border voluntary service based in Greifswald, Germany. We want to change the world and start with voluntary service. We want to support the civil society by building a network between hosting organisations in the fields of social, cultural and ecological work. We support and encourage young people to spend one year as a volunteer, support their projects and the local community as well as learn valuable things about themselves. At the moment the focus of our work is on Human Rights.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Your accommodation in Greifswald will be in a shared flat with up to 3 other volunteers and/or students, but you will have your own room. A ticket for local transprt will be provided, but truthfully everyone takes the bike in Greifswald :-). Your food and pocket money will be paid in full and you are responsible for your own food arrangements.
Training during the proyect
In the Turbina team you can learn a lot about project management. One main activity for us as a team will be a week long international conference about human rights in the context of volunteering organised in spring 2020 – and you can become part of the planning of this project. You can help us with general project management, public relations and the organisation of workshops, speakers & seminars. You will join 2 seminars to network with other volunteers in the region of Greifswald/Vorpommern and will be supported to develop your own projects. You will receive a German language course, too.
We are open to applications from everyone. All you need to bring is interest in our field of work, creativity and the willingness to learn & develope your own ideas.
