The University of Alicante runs University Cooperation for Development programmes within the framework of its Corporate Social Responsibility policy.
Mozambique Eyecare Project is an initiative for promoting specialised training so that lecturers and researchers from Mozambique’s Lurio public university can improve their qualifications in Visual Health.
This initiative has been launched through a Specific Collaboration Agreement between both institutions and is sponsored by the Brien Holden Vision Institute, the Dublin Institute of Technology and the Fundación Entretodos
Under this programme, up to two students from Lurio University are awarded a one-year scholarship to take the attendance-based Master’s Degree in Advanced Optometry and Visual Health at the University of Alicante.
The scholarship covers the master’s tuition fees, a monthly €800 grant for eleven months, and health insurance, Spanish courses for free, conferences, etc.
