MAEC-AECID grants

Call for applications - Art, Education, Science and Culture 2019-2020

Introduction

The MAEC-AECID grant programmes are Spanish foreign policy instruments included in the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation's (MAEC) strategy for university and scientific cooperation for development, managed through the Department of University and Scientific Cooperation of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation's (AECID) Directorate of Cultural and Scientific Relations.

Spanish universities work in close cooperation with AECID by participating in the Observatory for University Development Cooperation, within the Spanish University Presidents Council (CRUE). Grant holders make use of the premises and resources made available by Spanish embassies and AECID’s cultural and training centres, which allows them to further their training in a unique setting and advance their professional careers.

Description

MAEC-AECID grants contribute to development as part of a state policy that encourages knowledge transfer, skills utilisation and new opportunities, understood as a forward-looking investment in a spirit of solidarity, in the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set out in the 2030 Agenda.
