The University of Alicante’s International Presence and Development Aid Office organises activities on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Approved by the United Nations in September 2015, the 17 SDGs, subdivided into 169 targets, are a challenge we must all rise up to in order to achieve a fairer, more sustainable world for the next generations.

Workshop: "Volunteering and the European Solidarity Corps"
Date: Tuesday 5 March, 12.30 p.m.
Venue: Lecture Building 2, assembly hall.
Overview: A talk of about 30 minutes to explain how UA students can take part in the European volunteering programme, in the framework of the solidarity activities promoted by the European Union. A great opportunity to stay in an EU country for between 3 and 12 months, with all expenses paid.

Overview: An award-winning workshop at the 1st “Communicating the SDGs” contest organised by the Valencia Region Government’s Directorate-General for Cooperation and Solidarity, spreading the word on the 17 SDGs through interaction and participation.

Course: “Curriculum integration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into university teaching and learning”
Learning about and properly understanding the nature of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the framework of the international development agenda.
Identifying cross-curricular teaching strategies allowing us to integrate the SDGs into university teaching.
Gaining the first teaching skills needed for communicating the SDGs to university students across the curriculum, in different undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.
