The Regulations for Visiting Students was approved by the Governing Body of the University of Alicante on 27th May 2010.

National and international university students.
Visiting students can register in the following study programmes:
- Degree studies or equivalent
- Postgraduate studies, when the student holds a degree or equivalent qualification
Visiting students cannot follow undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the same time.
Visiting students follow a special registration procedure. They cannot do regular studies simultaneously.
Length of study period: it cannot be longer than one academic year.
Number of credits allowed:
- a maximum of 30 credits per semester.
- a maximum of 60 credits per whole academic year.

Visiting students will receive a transcript of records at the end of their period of study.

They cannot participate in any of the representative or governing bodies of the University of Alicante
They cannot apply for scholarships and official financial aids.

Undergraduate or postgraduate degree status must be proved by providing any of the following documents

Visiting students must have health care coverage and accident insurance during the period of stay in the University of Alicante.
